I’ve talked about my Great-Grandfather, William P. McDonald, a couple of times here in my art blogs. He is a famous artist that is my Mom’s Mom’s Dad whose artwork has been a great source of inspiration to me. I wrote some about him in my “Sentimental Reminder - Seeds of Suns” blog as well as in the blog “Air to Water – The Revolution of Ten Koi”.
In this blog I am finding myself reminiscing about another grandparent - - a grandparent who was as big a part of my life as any person could be: My Grandmother Margaret McDevitt Breslin - - my Dad’s mom. My Grandma Margaret ( 1902 - 1995 ) was the only grandparent that I ever met. She was the only grandparent that was alive during my years, and she played a very prominent leading and loving role in my life as well as in the life of all my immediate and large extended family. As I have recognized my entire life, there is no better role model of strength, confidence & smarts as well as constant loving support & kindness on this planet than my Grandma Margaret.
Today while going through my collection of seasonal Irish decorations for this month of March, I came across some more Ireland inspired artwork that I am finding special to me now because one of the items is a painting of an Irish landscape that I made as a gift for my Grandma so many years ago. Looking at it is special to me now mainly because it reminds me of the love shared with my Grandma.

I am a 'self-taught' artist who can hardly remember a day when I wasn't in the process of creating something... Thanks for visiting my site where I can share some of my work.
