Winter 2021

These are some photos of some artwork that I started playing with after Christmas, just before the beginning of this New Year 2021.  Things came up however, and I did not get around to gathering pictures until this week.

The artwork includes a newly created composition where I reimagined various images, figures, postures, fashions, designs and layers of patterns to create the painting pictured which involves the reflection of patterns and ancient universal and eternal concepts of sacred geometry. 

The artwork in the first picture is an older painting solely of an owl that has been floating around my studio space for years and inspired me to add an owl figure in this winter's piece.

( In the background of my owl photo, I also see an eye of my tiger canvas painted back in the fall of 2013 that became a part of my sports art collection. )​

​​I have looked back at this artwork years after making it along with some other pieces I created around the same time and wrote the following about the piece pictured above in an August 2024 blog:

"I believe that my sixth sense or unease with the times inspired this reflecting piece that I sketched a couple weeks before the shocking January 6, 2021 assault on the U.S. Capitol. ~ I have fears that something like that could happen again. "
