Having a nice sketchbook around can let you log your work. I mean, you can never really know when you would want to try sketching, that is for sure. I used to just go and draw on a piece of paper, and I regret all of those times. I think that people need to start bringing sketchbooks with them at all times, I really do. I am able to draw at any point in time once I started doing this.
