This *Time-Hop* memory from May 16, 2013 showed up in my facebook newsfeed today where I shared a little of my thoughts when I painted it: "Ahhh, May 16, 2013... when the pants were baggie. ~ I called this painting "Paint it Black" because that was Votto's at bat song, but to me, I was relating the feeling of walking up to the plate as similar to the feeling of facing a blank canvas." I love the color black, and I feel like it is the best color that we can use. I mean, black is basically a neutral color, at least for most people. I am not saying that it is what you should do, but I am really encouraging you that it is the best color, at least in my opinion. If you want something else, then it is still your choice.
